It would have to be a modern Gold Bullion Coin. The one ounce $50 .999 gold eagle is one ounce and they were minted from 1986 to date. The uncirculated version sells for a little more than the spot price of gold. The proof version has a collectors market and is worth more depending on date. In 2006 they came out with the $50 gold Buffalo coin that is .9999 due to it’s popularity it is worth a little more. Gold spot was $939.40. So depending on what coin you have it would be worth around that much plus or minus.
