How do you change centimes to euro notes in France?
Ok, so very random but i have a stash of 1centimes, 2centimes and 5centimes and i would really like to change them for notes before i leave France. How do i do this? Is it like the UK where you go to a bank and get little transparent money bags? must it be your own french bank? Please help someone. Thanks.
If they’re the old centimes (as in fractions of a franc), then the only place to change them is at the Bank of France.
It’s probably not worth the time it would take to go to the bank and stand in line — the exchange rate is just a bit less than 7 francs to the Euro, so it would take a LOT of spare change to make more than a few euros.
Keep them as souvenirs.
